1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to Aether Chronicles ("the game", "we", "us") on the web at aetherchronicles.com and in the mobile app. By creating an account or playing the game, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who should read these terms with you. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it and the data that goes with it.

3. Your account

Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account belongs to one person: don't share, sell, or transfer it. Your username must not impersonate another person or our staff, and it must follow the community rules below. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Gems, cards, and other virtual items

• Gems, coins, cards, cosmetics, and other in-game items are licensed to you for use in the game. You don't own them, and they have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred outside the game.
• Gems bought in the iOS app are sold by Apple through in-app purchase and credited to your account. The price is shown on each purchase button before you buy.
• Purchases are final, except where the law requires otherwise. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• We may change, rebalance, or retire game items and features, for example to keep the game fair. If a paid item stops working because of a change we make, contact us and we'll make it right.

5. Community rules

Usernames, status lines, and messages are filtered, but the filter isn't perfect, so these rules still apply. Don't:

• harass, threaten, or bully other players, or post hateful, sexual, or violent content;
• share anyone's personal information, including your own address or phone number;
• impersonate other people or our staff;
• cheat, use exploits or bots, tamper with the game or its servers, or manipulate rankings (for example by trading wins between accounts);
• spam, advertise, or try to sell accounts or items.

You can block or report a player from their profile or from a direct message. We may remove content, reset rankings, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. What you post

You keep the rights to the text you write in the game, such as messages, status lines, and deck names. You give us permission to store, display, and deliver it so the game's social features work. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time at Settings ▸ Account ▸ Delete Account. Deleting an account removes its items and gems, and they can't be restored. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

8. The game as it is

We work hard to keep the game running, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we aren't liable for indirect losses arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.

9. The iOS app

If you use the iOS app, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for the game.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be announced in the game. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
